  Here's a simple recipe for making tuzlu kurabiye at home:

 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • Coarse salt, for sprinkling
 Directions:
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add the butter and use your hands to work it into the flour mixture until it forms a crumbly texture.
  3. Beat the egg yolk with the cold water and add it to the flour mixture. Mix until the dough comes together.
  4. Form the dough into a ball and flatten it into a disk. Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
